How did the case change abortion rights?
The biggest effect that came from the Roe vs. Wade case was that it made abortions legal in the United States. If it wasn't for this case, abortions might still be illegal. This would make our society very different. If the abortions were still illegal, more people might be having illegal abortions. Making abortions legal was a big step for women's rights and it changed history.
Abortion rates have gone up and down at different points since the case. Recently the abortion rates have been stable. You can see this in the graph below.
